Excellent example of toys from the past! This is from the 1950's or so. Nice mixture of tin (body of deer and Santa), hard plastic (Santa's head), cloth (covering on deer and Santa's bag), and rubber (?)(deer antlers and nose). Rein is a thin gold colored silk cord. Deer is missing one eye (right side). Both antlers are present and complete. The wind-up key turns easily. I tried it once and the tension for the bouncing motion is there, but I had to tap the head of the deer to get him to move - and the key unwinds during that motion. It is old enough I didn't want to try to "make it work better" and will let the winning bidder figure it out! Wheels on the front hooves are secure. Sticker on the bottom indicates it was made in Japan. Stands about 5-1/2 inches tall and is about 5 inches long.
